Who was it for?

This was a University project in which we were given a market stall at a Christmas market and had to try and make profit in one day. We decided to sell muffins as there wasn't much affordable food available in the immediate surrounding area. There were lot's of restaurants and a few cafés but no nearby supermarkets or cornerships.

What was the brief?

The original brief was very vague - we could sell anything. Check out our project log here to see the decisions made along the process. I volunteered as project manager and branded the business with my colleague Fariq Aziz.

What did I do?

There were five of us selling muffins, an all-male team offering custom-icing on a choice of muffins. We decided to play off this idea by designing characters - our face on a muffin. We wanted it to be cute and warm to make the business approachable. As well as the animation, we designed t-shirts and branded the stall too. At the market, Pufferfish were showcasing their spherical projection technology, so we also designed an animation to be displayed on there. Check the installation out below.

So what happened in the end?

We made a profit and had a lot of good feedback. We even received offers from customers wanting to buy our t-shirts and one request to cater at a birthday party!
